This band was formed around 1991 in Luleå, the second city of the northcore explosion. Their first release was the demo "To make up my mind" that was recorded and released some time in 93. This got them a record deal with Burning Heart, who released their MCD "You're not like me", and later (during spring-summer of 96) the MCD "Stronger than ever". They have also appeared on the "Cheap Shots" CD compilation with the songs "Break free", "Stand up and fight" (from "You're not like me") and "Flams still burns ( Youth of Today cover).Raised Fist's influences are definitly the old school NY sound with bands like Gorilla Biscuits and YOT. Seemingly as this style is gaining so much popularity right now, it's a bit strange that Raised Fist have gone largerly unnoticed... it couldn't have something to do with the fact that they're not sXe, could it ?
Raised Fist has now released a second mini-CD, nine track of pure hardcore mayhem called "Stronger Than Ever".
